About the role

This position supports our busy Tasting Room operations be assisting with support functions that include, greeting guests and checking in for reservations; assisting Hospitality Sales Associates with the setup and breakdown of Tasting Experiences, including but not limited to: setting tables for experiences; cleaning tables post experiences, dish/glass washing and buffing. You will be required to work weekends and holidays. If you are passionate about wine and are interested in getting into hospitality, we want to hear from you!

  • Operates an iPad/Computer for reservations

  • Professional on all levels while clocked in or on company premises

  • Comes to work with positive attitude and outlook on the day

  • Able to speak clearly and in a consistently friendly tone to guests.

  • Operates a commercial dishwasher to clean and sanitize glassware and dishes

  • Clears, cleans, and resets tables promptly

  • Maintains proper table alignment and setup

  • Cleans all dishes in a timely and organized manner

  • Restocks glassware in all areas

  • Inspect glassware and dishware for smudges, chips or stains

  • Follows proper closing procedures to keep cleaned and organized

  • Punctual and keeps good attendance

  • Familiar with and abides with all Treasury’s policies procedures and systems

  • Other duties as required for support of team.

About you

  • Must be 18 years or older to apply; applicants under the age of 21 (18-20) will not be allowed to open, serve, or otherwise handle open wine bottles.

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time

  • Must be able to lift 40+ pounds and able to climb stairs and use ramps.

  • This position must work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), some holidays and evenings.

About the role

The iconic and beautiful Beaulieu Vineyards in Rutherford is looking for talented and customer service-oriented individuals to join our tasting room and retail stores. As a Seasonal Tasting Room Associate you will have the opportunity to join a great team that is constantly driving sales and building relationships through our tasting room experience. Wine experience is much appreciated but can be taught for those that are looking to start their career in the wine industry!

  • Set-up and host wine tastings and tours for guests

  • Provide world class customer service to site visitors

  • Assist in events, private dinners and various site activities

  • Assist with restocking, inventory, wine packing and floor upkeep

  • Register operations, retail sales and wine club promotions

  • Follow site policies and procedures.

  • Complete projects and other duties as directed by Retail Sales Manager.

About you

  • Must be 21 years of age

  • At least 2 years' experience in retail sales or a similar hospitality setting

  • Exemplary customer service skills

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to relay knowledge of wines and wine production

  • Dynamic communication skills & positive attitude

  • Clean professional appearance and excel in intercommunications and interactions.

  • Ability to start a project and carry through to successful implementation

  • Knowledge of food and wine, the wine industry, Napa and Bay Area restaurants

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs (case of wine)

  • Wine industry and/or tasting room experience is highly desired but not required

  • This position must work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), some holidays and evenings

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $21 to $26 plus monthly bonus. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of Rutherford, CA. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
