AdventHealth Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer in Altamonte Springs, Florida

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Vice President/ Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer (CCRO) position for AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL.

GENERAL SUMMARY :

Reporting to the Chief Legal officer, the CCRO provides executive level leadership for the AdventHealth Corporate Responsibility Program. The CCRO is responsible for establishing and maintaining standards to ensure that the Corporate Responsibility Program is effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting noncompliance with federal and state regulations impacting health care entities. The CCRO also serves as a subject matter expert and advises senior leadership and members of the AdventHealth Board on regulatory compliance and privacy.

The CCRO provides oversight of the Executive Directors, Division Corporate Responsibility Officers and Regional Corporate Responsibility Officers and their teams. Areas of oversight include, but are not limited to, consistent implementation of the AdventHealth Corporate Responsibility Plan and policies across the system and health care related regulatory compliance and privacy audits, investigations and other activities. The CCRO’s responsibilities also include executive leadership of the contract review process, the annual compliance risk assessment process, the annual compliance and privacy work plan, policy and procedure development, system-wide training and education programs, and internal investigations and remediation.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Oversee the operations of the corporate responsibility program and the corporate responsibility team.

  • Provide support and guidance to the executive leadership team of the corporate responsibility department.

  • Define the necessary level of knowledge on existing and emerging regulatory compliance and privacy requirements across the organization.

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on regulatory compliance and privacy across the organization.

  • Provide executive oversightfor the following:

  • Development and maintenance of policies regarding regulatory compliance and privacy for AdventHealth.

  • Updates to the Code of Conduct to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance.

  • Development, revisions and maintenance of the system-wide corporate responsibility training and education program and process.

  • Contract review process.

  • Compliance functions and related systems, including sanction screening, incident management, Code of Conduct questionnaire management and screening, and open payment portal review.

  • Annual risk assessment process and the development and implementation of the annual compliance and privacy work plan for the various business lines, including acute care, home health, hospice, long-term care, and physician practices.

  • Facilitate collaboration between corporate responsibility and other departments that intersect with compliance and privacy, including corporate tax, legal, risk management, information security, internal audit, human resources and revenue cycle.

  • Interact with legal and data security on privacy and data security issues, data breaches as well as policies and procedures.
