As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll work closely with national industry leaders and local experts to support clients with design and construction documentation for building mechanical systems in new and existing facilities. Be part of a multi-disciplinary team working on signature projects that matter.

Your Role Lead mechanical design on a variety of projects, from concept phase through construction. Our projects span commercial, federal, municipal, and industrial sectors, including water and wastewater treatment plants. Perform HVAC load calculations, energy models, life cycle cost analysis, and ventilation calculations in compliance with applicable codes and energy efficiency standards. Size equipment and develop layouts for airside and hydronic systems. Developing specifications using MasterSpec Coordinate with other disciplines, internal teams, and external stakeholders (vendors, clients, and contractors).

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) required. 15 years in mechanical design, specifically related to design and construction documentation for mechanical, plumbing and performance-based fire protection systems in new and existing facilities. Working knowledge of REVIT and AutoCad systems. Comprehensive understanding of ICC building codes, ASHRAE design manuals and guides, and USGBC LEED requirements, specifically for new or existing facilities. Ability to provide hands-on design and design team leadership on commercial, federal, and municipal projects. Detailed knowledge of building mechanical equipment including fans, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, chilled and hot water loops, boilers, motors, pumps, variable speed drives, direct digital temperature controls and building automation systems. Plumbing and/or performance fire-protection experience also desired.

Salary: $126k - $180k depending on portfolio and experience
