Arc and acetylene weld, braze and cut a widely diversified range of maintenance repairs.  Determine current and voltage settings, electrode type and size for arc welding, select tips and vary flame in acetylene welding.

Works in standing position; at times requires frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl.

Understand complicated drawings and specifications, shop arithmetic, and use of scales, protractors, squares, precision measuring instruments.  Knowledge of arc and gas welding principles and methods, fusion of various metals and alloys.
