Johns Hopkins University Research Program Assistant II in Baltimore, Maryland

We are seeking a Research Program Assistant II (RPM) to lead outreach and recruitment of study participants and foster strong working relationships between the research team and study community. The RPM will report to the study Principal Investigator. This position will involve 19 hours of work per week. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to recruitment, eligibility screening, informed consent, and enrollment of prospective study participants; collection of baseline data from study participants (as applicable); linkage of participants to study teams; and data management and reporting.

This position requires in-person travel to sites across Baltimore or outside Baltimore in the Maryland region, such as health centers, offices, and community settings, to conduct position duties in-person.

The position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Experience with recruitment, data collection or outreach is preferable. Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with community organizations and sites that serve the study population of immigrant or refugee women.

  • Perform in-person recruitment duties at identified sites.

  • Screen potential study participants for eligibility.

  • Obtain informed consent for the research study from prospective participants.

  • Collect baseline data from study participants through a structured interview, if applicable.

  • Maintain confidentiality of participant information.

  • Assist with data management and reporting.

  • Attend and participate in all required trainings, meetings, and daily team huddles (both in-person and/or virtual/phone).

  • Perform other study related duties as assigned.

  • Fluency in one or more of the following languages is highly desired: Spanish, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Chinese, French, and/or Vietnamese.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.

  • Two years related experience.

  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interviewing and/or conducting outreach.

  • Conducting community-based health research or program evaluation.

  • Collecting and managing data.

  • Work with immigrant or refugee populations.

Starting Salary Range : $15.50 - $26.00 HRLY ($25,662 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

Employee group: Casual / On Call

Schedule : Monday - Friday Hrs Vary (Up to 19hrs per week)
