Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Child Development Center, Beale AFB, CA. This position is regular part time, guaranteed 20 hours per week and receives benefits. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Continuous standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending. Responsibilities Prepares, cuts, and assembles fresh, canned, or frozen fruits and vegetables for standard serving sizes as part of a kitchen team, supporting cooks to deliver food, dishes, and cutlery to classrooms. Maintains professionalism and ensures sanity standards are met within the kitchen. Collects food dishes and cutlery from classrooms following completion of meals. Maintains inventory of needed food and kitchen supplies. Makes cold sandwiches using prepared ingredients. Scrapes, soaks, scours and scrubs bowls, pots and pans. Also performs heavy duty cleaning tasks such as ceilings, exhaust hoods, under and behind kitchen equipment, washes floors and walls, walk-in refrigerators and freezers, sanitizes garbage cans. May unload food from delivery trucks. Collects and transfers trash from work area to disposal area. Performs all other duties as assigned.
