Beltrami County is creating an eligibility list for the position of Corrections Officer. There are currently multiple openings with both full-time and part-time schedules available and are considered permanent, benefited positions. The full-time successful applicants will work seven (7) twelve (12) hour shifts in a two week period. The part-time successful applicants will work an average of 40 hours per week. Per the below requirement, we only have openings for female applicants at this time. MN Rules Chapter Staffing Requirements 2911.0900, subp, 10: Supervision of inmates of opposite gender. Staff members shall not be placed in positions of responsibility for the supervision and welfare of inmates of the opposite gender in circumstances that can be described as invasion of privacy, degrading, or humiliating to the inmates. When staff of one gender are used as program resource personnel with inmates of the opposite gender, staff of the inmates' gender must be on duty and in the facility. Performs intermediate protective service and human support work overseeing care and security of inmates at the Beltrami County Jail, and related work as apparent or assigned.
