JOB SCOPE

Qualifications

Experience demonstrating skill troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical problems on transportation and heavy construction equipment (specifically, vehicles; light, medium, and heavy duty chassis, aerial lifts; digger derricks; cranes; mechanical, electric and hydraulic winches and forklifts). Experience demonstrating skill performing corrective and/or preventative maintenance (e.g., lubrication, cleaning) on transportation and heavy construction equipment (specifically, vehicles; light, medium, and heavy duty chassis, aerial lifts; digger derricks; cranes; mechanical, electric and hydraulic winches and forklifts). Experience demonstrating skill operating all types of transportation and construction equipment (specifically, vehicles; light, medium, and heavy duty chassis, aerial lifts; digger derricks; cranes; mechanical, electric and hydraulic winches and forklifts). Experience demonstrating skill operating and maintaining hydraulic and mechanical/electric/electronic tools (e.g., laptop scanners/diagnostics). Experience demonstrating skill performing welding and cutting. Experience demonstrating skill communicating both orally and in writing with others. Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail software. Must possess a valid driver?s license. Must possess a valid CDL Class ?A? with required endorsements to include Airbrake and combination vehicle OR the ability and willingness to obtain a valid CDL within six (6) months of entry into the position. Ability and willingness to work shift work, including overtime, weekends, holidays as required. Ability and willingness to perform a second role in accordance with PHI's Emergency Preparedness Guidelines for all employees Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including outdoors in all weather conditions, at heights, in confined spaces, in hot, cold, noisy and dirty environments with proper Personal Protective Equipment. Ability and willingness to travel to various Company and off site locations as required, including responding in a timely manner to emergency situations. Ability and willingness to perform physically challenging tasks for extended periods of time (for example, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, pulling/pushing, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs. and squatting). Ability and willingness to wear and use safety equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety shoes, glasses, side shield, hearing protection, fall protection, flame retardant clothing, respirator) as required by Federal, State, Local and Company regulations and adhere to safety regulations and policies.) Ability and willingness to comply with Federal, State, local and company safety requirements. Ability and willingness to distinguish between differently colored tags, lights, and wires. Ability and willingness to obtain the required ASE certifications listed in Section E.3. within 18 months of entry into the position. Ability and willingness to obtain the required ASE certifications listed in Section E.4. within 36 months of entry into the position. Must successfully pass a Criminal History Records Check. Must successfully pass a medical screening to include a drug test.
