How you’ll make an impact:

This position is responsible for the compliance to U.S. Customs rules and regulations for all Vendors/Factories for Imports and Exports for the William Carter Company and OshKosh

This role reports into the Senior Manager, FTZ and Compliance and is based in our Braselton Distribution Center. Environment

  • Processing and auditing of commercial invoices for import documentation such as Pre-Audits and Approvals

  • Auditing CF7501 transmission to U.S. Customs and Border Protection for accuracy

  • Working with overseas Vendors to ensure compliance and accuracy of documents.

  • Working closely with Trade & Customs Manager and Customs Broker to ensure timely release of shipments and helping to resolve any compliance-related issues.

  • Preparation of Post Entry Reviews.

  • Applying Customs Regulations to processing of import and export shipments.

  • Special projects as requested by FTZ, Customs & Trade Compliance Senior Manager or Manager

  • Ensuring accurate and consistent maintenance of records.

  • Collecting and analyzing data for Duty Drawback.

  • Support the Customs & Trade Compliance Manager in classifying products for duty adherence to the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule

Must have:

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word required.

  • Must be able to use ten-key pad and to type numbers timely and accurately.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • 1-2 years Import/Export related clerical work preferred.
