Express Employment is assisting a local Metal Fabrication Manufacturer with the hire of Machine Operators, Level II.

Positions Overview: The Level II Fabricator/Operator will work in the Metal Department manufacturing custom doors from raw material to finished good following order specifications.

Schedule: 1st shift 7am-3:30pm, must be able to work overtime as needed.

Compensation: $20/hr. depending on experience

Duties & Responsibilities for the Metal Department:

• Produce parts using a CNC Machine
• Build an accurate and quality part
• Read and understand work orders and templates
• MIG weld frame
• Spot weld or tack weld in anchors and reinforcements
• Follow customer requirements for building a quality product
• Ability to work alone, and along with a team to complete daily tasks
• Fabricate metal frames with use of shear, turret press and brake press
• Assist with product manufacturing (Sanding, Grinding, Metal cutting, finish prep, and more)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to read and accurately interpret various documents such as machining sheets, work orders and templates.
• Ability to accurately read tape measurements and calculate basic fractions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written, high attention to detail skills
• Knowledge of the production process
• Must be able to work independently or with others as needed

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED certificate required
• 2 or more Years' Machine Operator Experience in a Manufacturing Setting.
• Ideal candidates will have Machine Setup knowledge and/or Fabrication experience.
