Maintenance Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shift

The Assembly Maintenance Technician will apply knowledge and expertise in the performance of scheduled and unscheduled machine setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance service. The Assembly Maintenance Technician will participate with advanced troubleshooting activities and continuous improvement initiatives by providing appropriate technical knowledge to recommend and implement improvements and corrective actions. Various technologies will be employed including robotic welding/assembly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform troubleshooting activities, implement corrective actions, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure capability for robotic welding/assembly equipment;
  • Utilize advanced technical skills to install, maintain and repair equipment which include, but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems;
  • Perform mechanical duties such as robots, changing of weld wire liners, tips, weld torches, and torch reamer repair;
  • Perform electrical duties such as changing of firing panels, prox cords and prox switches;
  • Respond to work orders and assure timely resolution of requests;
  • Inspect and maintain existing equipment to ensure production of quality products which comply with company and customer standards and specifications;
  • Monitor inventory of items required to perform necessary duties, and submit procurement requests as required;
  • Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occurs immediately;

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);

  • Advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLCs;

  • General machining and fabrication experience;

  • Five (5) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment;

  • Experience with robotic weld touch up and MIG welding;

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a robotic welding/assembly operation (ABB and Fronius strongly preferred);

  • Minimum of five (5) years documented related experience;

  • Preferred qualifications include eight (8) years documented related experience, completion of apprenticeship program and Department of Labor (DOL) issued Journeyman's card (Industrial Maintenance Technician or Machine Repair classifications) strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read and interpret prints;
  • Ability to obtain hilo and crane certifications;
  • Ability to work at heights using man lifts and ladders, as well as performance of roof work;
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Basic electrical (DC and AC voltage), welding (Arc, MIG, TIG, and spot), and plumbing knowledge
  • Desire to work in a team-based, lean-manufacturing environment;
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as required to meet business needs;
  • Ability to provide own basic tools.

     

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm, 3rd shift 10pm-6:30am, Monday-Friday + Weekend OT as Needed
