Job Overview:

Perform conceptual, FEED, Studies, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes and standards. Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations. Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures. Manage own time to meet agreed deadlines and budgets and develop plans for short-term work activities in own area. Focus on completing work within budgets. Takes the delegated lead over the discipline project team when necessary. Clearly communicate and explain complex issues and work to establish understanding.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Rotating Equipment – specification / selection of rotating equipment like Pumps (mostly Centrifugal per API 610) and Compressors (mostly Centrifugal per API 617 or Reciprocating per API 618)

  • Datasheets: issuing (review of process data , filling in mechanical requirements)

  • Project engineering Specifications (review / understanding / application)

  • Requirements for Seller Documentation (RFD)

  • Requirements for Inspections and Testing (RFI)

  • Material Requisition (assembly of MR package from related project documents: datasheets, engineering Specifications, RFD, RFI)

  • Communication with other discipline engineers related to the Rotating Equipment (Piping, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Inspection, Procurement)

  • Technical evaluation of received Bids

  • Clarifications with Bidders / Vendors

  • Review / commenting of Seller documents

  • All processed documents are in English

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Master Degree is Preferred)

  • 6+ yrs in Oil and Gas with major contractor or consultant predominantly performing detail design

  • Strong working knowledge of many design techniques and analysis methods, and detailed knowledge of the content and application of standards codes and guidelines as applicable

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society

  • Good English in writing / speaking (B2 Level minimum)

  • Quality oriented and schedule conscious

  • Serves as a technical reference and/or source of reliable information for the discipline

  • Leadership skills and willingness to coordinate some discipline tasks

  • Make recommendations to improve work process

  • Give support to construction when necessary from office or at site
