Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 INDEFINITE EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR, Position Description Number D1528000 and is part of the CO 140th MXS, National Guard. Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to serve as the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator for the 140th Maintenance Squadron, representing the unit's Production equities for all maintenance actions on the flightline, hangars and backshops. Duties include management of work operations performed by two or more distinct organizational units which may be controlled by a number of separate supervisors. Responsible for the squadron's holistic maintenance program, managing the overall pace, tempo, and battle rhythm of maintenance efforts, and enforces safe maintenance practices. Participates in establishing, monitoring and managing monthly and weekly maintenance plans through deconfliction and coordination across Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Production staff. Controls and coordinates maintenance activities on the flightline, hangars and backshops. May be required to coordinate with supervisors to select workers and assign tasks to be performed. Understands, executes, and coordinates specific disaster control duties including the provisions contained Air Force instructions, with regard to movement of aircraft, support equipment, and evacuation of flightline personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-6 promotable or E-7 Compatible Military Assignments: 2AXXX AFSC 1. Program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the business or industry position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. 2. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. 3. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. 4. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Education Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets 6 months Specialized Experience. Per ARNG-HRH Policy Memorandum #10-39, mandatory Full Time Staff (FTS) training is required within a year of hire as a condition of employment in vacancy announcements for both Technician and Active Guard Reserve positions. Failure of new FTS personnel to complete NGB prescribed courses at PEC within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment to other full time positions or termination of their employment. 11. Current COANG Technicians and AGRs hired for a position in which an MCR is required will remain in their current status unless/until the MCR is approved.
