I dentity and A ccess M anagement (IAM) Analyst (Hybrid, London / Cambridge)

Will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our Identity and Access Management service. This includes working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that user access is properly managed and monitored across all systems and applications, ensuring compliance against AVEVA’s policies and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IAM best practices.

This position will suit an individual who is interested in progressing their career in Security. Identity and access management (IAM) is a fast-growing field that offers various types of roles you will further your experience and learn as our Identity and Access Management function grows.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT, HR, and other departments to define and implement IAM policies, controls, procedures, and standards.

  • Support the implementation and administration of IAM tools and technologies, including Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).

  • Support the management of the identity lifecycle as part of the joiner, mover and leaver process.

  • Managing the user access provisioning and deprovisioning processes, user access reviews and recertification, ensuring timely and accurate assignment and removal of access rights.

  • Perform regular audits and reviews of user access reviews, identifying any discrepancies or potential security risks and securing remediation plans.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to IAM processes andprocedures.

  • Support the Security team to investigate security incidents related to user access management.

  • Assist with user training and awareness IAM and security best practices.

  • Support compliance efforts by providing required IAM-related documentation and evidence for audits and assessments.

  • Stay up to date on emerging IAM trends, technologies, and best practices, making recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Report onKPIs / metrics related to IAM.

Skills and qualifications:

  • 2 years or more of experience in Identity and Access Management desirable.

  • Understanding of IAM best practices and principles.

  • Familiarity with IAM tools and technologies, such as IAM and PAM solutions.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as NISTand ISO 27001.

  • Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+, are a plus.

  • Knowledge of NERCIP and GDPR is highly desirable.

  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify security risks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Be able to effectively prioritise, manage competing deadlines, and respond to changing priorities.

  • Ability to understand and produce high quality reporting and analysis.
