Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Loader Operator for our Aggregates facility located in Cambridge, Ontario.

What You'll Get To Do

The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The Loader Operator must also maintain all equipment as directed per policies, procedures, and operator manuals.

• Responsible for the operation of front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers and to load trucks or railcars.

• Perform routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.

• Participate in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards.

• Ensure assigned established performance indicators are met.

• Work toward improvement of the assigned pit and surrounding area.

• Follow established environmental procedures to ensure that the pit for which he/she is working is in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements.

• Participate in ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of pit and equipment.

• Work with plant manager and other personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and may recommend solutions to improve performance.

• Adhere to all Heidelberg Materials and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on pit grounds.

• Meet or exceed company safety standards.

• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.

What We Are Looking For

• Be able to read, write, and speak English

• 3 years Loader Operator Experience

• Must be a team player

• High school diploma preferred

• Common Core Certification preferred
