NY1499291 NY Connects Information and Assistant Specialist needed for the Madison County Office for the Aging in Canastota, NY.

Pay rate is $38,563 per year.

Madison County Office for the Aging is seeking an Information and Assistance Specialist. The selected candidate would serve as the point of entry in providing information and assistance in accessing long-term services and support for all ages to remain independent in their community. The position includes traveling to clients homes, outpatient settings, acute care facilities and rehab facilities.

Minimum qualifications: A.Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two-year college or university with an associate degree in human services, social services, or a closely related field. OR B.Graduation from a high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma AND two years in adult education, recreation programs, community health services, counseling, social work, public administration, work placement, programs for the aged or disabled or related fields OR C.An equivalent combination of training volunteer experience, as defined by the limits of A and B above.

Additional skills required: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Possess strong computer skills. Ability to keep an active schedule in a fast-paced work environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. A valid drivers license is required along with physical condition commensurate with the position demands.

The selected candidate would work Monday through Friday. This is a 40 hour per week position. The pay is $38,563 annually. Benefit package includes health insurance, wellness programs, paid time off, and a 401(k)-retirement plan.
