Our client, a global leader in survivability and security is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team. As a Cost Accountant, you will be part of the Accounting Department supporting the Controller. The ideal candidate will have expertise with GAAP, keen analytical skill and attention to detail, as well as experience with MS Excel, and EPICOR which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Cost Accountant

Location: Chandler, AZ

Pay Range: $90K+ D.O.E.

What’s the Job?

• Collecting and analyzing data about the company's operating costs.

• Setting standard costs of manufactured goods, administration, labor, shipping, etc.

• Performing account reconciliations, preparing audit reports and presenting to management.

• Recommending changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit.

• Managing company's balance sheet and accounting books.

What’s Needed?

• Demonstrated understanding of GAAP

• 5+ years of experience as a cost accountant, analyst or similar.

• MS Office (especially Excel), and EPICOR experience.

• Keen analytical skill and attention to detail.

• Expertise in fixed and variable costs and understanding of average costing.
