Absolute Aviation Services offers a wide variety of FAA approved DER repairs designed to reduce cost, improve reliability, and allow for replacement of obsolete parts.

Overview of the Position:

Performs maintenance on commercial aircraft components. Works to ensure that customer orders are completed within the Repair Group's standards and procedures by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and repairs printed circuit board assemblies to the component level using schematics and electronic test equipment.

  • Operates electronic test equipment including but not limited to Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, Hipot and LCR Meter.

  • Performs repairs and component replacements using soldering equipment and hand tools.

  • Performs functional tests to ensure aircraft components are returned to original or properly altered condition.

  • Ensures work is performed in accordance with the operations policy and procedure, including daily verification that all aircraft related material in area is properly identified, maintained, preserved, and segregated.

  • Ensures the data being used to perform maintenance and alteration tasks is current per the repair station requirements.

  • Records the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.

  • Performs the necessary research to assure that technical data and manuals are current and appropriate for associated tasks.

  • Other duties that may be assigned.

    Education / Experience Requirements:

    High school diploma or GED required. Prefer some related college courses, certificate or associate degree. Minimum two years’ related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills :

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents such as safety rules,

    operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors, and customers, top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

    Mathematical Skills :

    Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using

    whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Reasoning Ability :

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment :

  • Is frequently required to talk or listen.

  • Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel.

  • Is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 30 pounds.
