At Ford Motor Credit Company, we are modernizing enterprise Data Platforms enabled by Google Cloud, to improve Data, Analytics and AI/ML capabilities, and enhance customer experience, regulatory compliance & operational efficiencies.

This position will manage the India based supplier delivery team for migration of legacy data warehouse from Teradata to GCP BQ platform, using a standard engineering patterns for ingestion, quality assurance & data protection. Will be responsible to ensure full migration of data, business adoption of new platform and decommission of legacy DW platforms & associated technology stack.

This position will also collaborate with technical leads, program manager, data platform enablement manager, subject matter experts, supplier partners, business partner team and IT operations team to deliver the migration plan following agile framework.

We are looking for dynamic, technical leader with strong experience in Data Engineering, GCP Big Query, Data ETL pipelines, Data architecture, Data Governance, Data protection, security & compliance, and user access enablement.

1. Lead the migration approach and plan to enable conversion of data pipelines and processing logic (ETLs) to GCP BQ compatible solutions.

2. Oversee the delivery by project work with India based supplier team and ensure complete data migration to cloud and business adoption of new platform.

3. Collaborate with Technical leads, and architecture leaders and supplier technical leads to enforce adherence to standard patterns.

4. Drive business adoption of new data platform for enterprise’s data analytics, Insights & AI/ML modeling requirements & decommission of legacy platforms.

5. People leader for a team of 5+ data engineers and analysts. Additionally manage supplier partner team who will execute the migration plan

6. Be the trusted partner of business customers and global data engineering teams in solving technical and business problems.

7. Lead communication of status, issues & risks to key stakeholders

8. Stay abreast on technology advancements and ensure team keeps updated on skills

Must Have Skills –

• Google Cloud certified profession Cloud Data Engineer

• 5+ years of experience Leading teams of 10-25 engineers and suppliers to build Big Data/Datawarehouse solutions in Teradata or cloud data platforms.

• 10 years of experience in technical delivery of Data Warehouse Cloud Solutions for large companies, and business adoption of these platforms to build analytics and insights.

• 5+ years of managing supplier partners for delivery of complex, global Data warehousing projects

• 5+ years experience leading technical teams, delivery complex projects using Agile methodologies, and product support of those solutions

• Solid knowledge of cloud data architecture, data modelling principles, Data protection, privacy & compliance

• Knowledge of most of the following:

• Orchestration of data pipelines (e.g. Airflow, DBT, Dataform, Astronomer).

• Batch data pipelines (e.g. BQ SQL, Dataflow).

• Streaming data pipelines (e.g. Kafka, Pub/Sub, gsutil)

• Data warehousing techniques (e.g. data modelling, ETL/ELT).

• Data Catalog and Lineage

• DLP and Classification of data

• Very strong leadership, communication, organizing and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to negotiate with and influence stakeholders & drive forward strategic data transformation.

• Quick learner, self-starter, energetic leaders with drive to deliver results.

• Empathy and care for customers and teams, as a leader guide teams on advancement of skills, objective setting and performance assessments.

Good to Have Skills –

1. Experience in technical program management & delivering complex migration projects.
