About our Team

The Enterprise Customer Manager team is responsible for overseeing the organization's Customer Data Management system. This team ensures the accuracy, uniformity, and availability of customer data across various business units. Their work is crucial in enabling efficient data integration and synchronization, which supports strategic business initiatives. By maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date customer database, the team helps the company leverage customer data for better decision-making and enhanced operational effectiveness.

About the role

The role in focus is that of an expert Java developer, tasked primarily with backend RESTful service development and leading the transition of legacy Spring applications to modern microservices using Spring Boot architecture. This position demands a strong command of Java for crafting robust backend solutions, paired with SQL skills for interacting with complex databases. The developer will architect scalable backend frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with frontend components and enhancing system functionality and performance. As a technical expert, the candidate will guide the modernization initiatives, and ensure adherence to best practices and security standards. This role requires deep expertise in Java and Spring ecosystems, a solid understanding of software development methodologies, and a proactive approach to incorporating new technologies to drive innovation and efficiency in development processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the modernization initiatives for the Enterprise Customer Manager system by developing and enhancing functionality and performance.

• Architect and implement scalable backend solutions using Java and ensure seamless integration with frontend components.

• Design and optimize complex SQL databases to support system requirements and performance goals.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to refine application interfaces for optimal user engagement and satisfaction.

• Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to industry standards.

• Serve as a technical lead in project planning sessions, reviews, and sprint meetings.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting skill development and best practices within the team.

• Stay abreast of new technology trends and tools, integrating them into operations to enhance productivity and innovation.

• Ensure compliance with all technical and security guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Expert-level Java programming for building and maintaining robust backend systems.

• Advanced SQL skills for complex database design, querying, and optimization.

• Proficient in modern frontend development practices to create responsive and intuitive user interfaces.

• Practical knowledge of Python for automating processes and integrating systems.

• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and integrating various web services.

• Strong knowledge of system security, data protection, and best coding practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 3 years of experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on Java.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and database management.

• Solid experience in frontend technologies and frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

• Demonstrated experience with Python for scripting and data manipulation.

• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
