Position Summary

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a large Semiconductor Project within the Manufacturing and Technology Global Business Unit (M&T). This position is for an engineer that has experienced knowledge in both 60Hz and 50Hz electrical power systems. The position is located in our London office for a Project executed in Germany. M&T Global Business Unit specializes in Semiconductor Facilities, Battery Manufacturing, Data Centres, and EVCI.

Typical Responsibilities

• Applies broad knowledge of engineering principles, practices, standards to project engineering in the preparation of designs and deliverables.

• Makes decisions independently concerning problems on the project.

• Attends client meetings and presents Project Electrical design, status, and schedule.

• Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions.

• Facilitates technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, regulators).

• Promotes the creation of a work environment, supported by leadership, which fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Must have the right to work and remain in the UK without sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

• Previous experience working in designing Semiconductor manufacturing or Data Center facilities (not an absolute requirement).

• Experience in resolving complex technical problems and the ability to articulate explanations to a team of engineers and designers are essential.

• Licensed/Charter P.E. in Electrical.

• Experience in Power System Analysis for Load Flow, Motor Starting, and Short Circuit calculations using ETAP or similar software.
