What you'll do

At SAP Design, were in the midst of an exciting transformationand were looking for talented and dynamic individuals to join our evolution. Were seeking a passionate (Senior) User Experience Designer to lead our AI Design System Team (part of the SAP Business AI group) in thriving for best-in-class enterprise UX and making a significant contribution to the evolution of the AI patterns and guidelines delivered into SAP Fiori design system. You are a strong team player and know how to drive projects from scope to collaborative design and refinement to high-quality design guidance and development specifications. The ideal candidate is creative, pays attention to detail, and can meet deadlines while keeping stakeholders informed.

Overview of the role

• Teacher/Mentor/Coach - has deep experience in system design and can be a hands-on teacher for the rest of the team on all aspects of AI pattern and guideline delivery - from ops to design to development. Spends 50-70% of time working closely with designers, sharing knowledge and expertise leading and contributing to hands-on design and guidelines work.

• Decision Maker - can deeply understand all angles being presented by the pattern designers and other informing teams and unblock conflicts with confidence.

• Director - maintains expertise involving all aspects of patterns delivery and communications to guide squad through each delivery cycle - guiding us towards a process that both aligns with SAP Fiori Design System and SAP compliance standards. Leads the innovation, definition, and deliver of process adaptations for AI's unique needs.

• System Designer - Expert in Figma. 3-5 years of AI UX design experience. 3-5 years creating or using a large enterprise design system.

In this role you will

• Create, develop, and manage the SAP Fiori AI design system patterns and guidelines across SAPs product portfolio.

• Explore, ideate, and define design concepts to take the design system to the next level.

• Present, visualize and communicate AI patterns and guidelines at different design stages in a clear and structured way to support design decisions.

• Accompany development and delivery with UX expertise to ensure high quality outcomes for our end users.

• Build relationships and collaborate closely with SAPs UX, research, and development communities to enable designers and product teams to implement their AI use cases at scale.

• Support team members by pairing with them and providing actionable feedback that excels their growth.

• Focus on having an all-inclusive mindset and apply accessibility standards.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor or Master in Interface Design, Industrial Design, Media Design, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Design or related field

• 5-10 years of professional experience in application or system design for software solutions

• Proven track record in user experience design for AI and web applications and/or design systems

• Ability to inform and implement user research into design and guidance

• Proven experience in mock-up and prototyping tools, such as Figma or Adobe

• Experience using AI-powered tools for design, research, and enterprise use cases including LLMs, automations, personalizations, and recommendations

• Excellent skills in visualizing and communicating your concepts and ideas

• Willingness to continuously broaden your horizon on design methodologies, technologies, upcoming trends, and business scenarios

• Experience and motivation to work in a diverse and global organization

• Fluency in English
