Maxus Excavating is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes.

Responsibilities:

Inspect and diagnose mechanical problems in heavy equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, including replacing worn or damaged parts, lubricating engines and other moving parts, and adjusting and aligning parts. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Perform welding and fabrication as needed.

Use hand and power tools to disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment components. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed. Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of heavy equipment. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
