As a Mechanical Engineer, you will drive new product development initiatives. Your role is crucial in steering our innovative efforts from concept to market-ready products, ensuring that our solutions meet the rigorous demands of the industry. Your expertise in mechanical engineering and design will be pivotal as you navigate projects involving sophisticated material selections for high-temperature applications, ultrasonic transduction, and electromagnetism.

Your Valued Contribution:

  • NPD Process Management : Independently manage the new product development process from concept to completion, ensuring that all stages of the project meet technical specifications and are delivered on schedule.

  • Design and Simulation : Use CAD tools like SolidWorks to design mechanical components and systems. Conduct basic simulation analyses (e.g., FEA for stress and thermal properties) to validate designs and make informed engineering decisions.

  • Prototype Development : Lead all aspects of the creation of prototypes, coordinating with manufacturing teams and suppliers to produce and test prototype components, ensuring they meet design specifications and functional requirements.

  • Verification and Testing : Design and implement verification tests for new products, analyze test results, and make necessary adjustments to designs based on feedback and findings to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards.

  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of the design process, including design justifications, test results, and final specifications. Prepare and present regular progress reports.

  • Standards and Compliance : Ensure all designs align with relevant industry and safety standards, particularly for equipment intended for hazardous areas. Stay updated with the latest standards and regulations affecting product design in the oil and gas industry.

  • Collaboration and Coordination : Work closely with multi-functional teams, including materials scientists, electrical engineers, and software developers, to integrate all aspects of product design and functionality.

  • NPD Expertise : Proven experience in driving the full lifecycle of new product development, particularly in mechanical components, from conceptualization through to market-ready products.

  • Problem Solving : Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate solutions, and implement improvements in the design process.

  • Communication and Collaboration : Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively across various teams. Ability to articulate design concepts clearly.
