Sargent Electric Billing/Cost Control Analyst in De Pere, Wisconsin

We are looking to hire a BILLING/COST CONTROL ANALYST in our De Pere, Wisconsin office.  The primary responsibility of this position involves various accounting duties, reconciliations and collection calls, as well as assisting with month/year end closing activities.  This position is cross-trained with other administrative duties to provide flexibility and efficiency in the department, such as mail, printing/copying, plot drawings, ordering office supplies, tool transfers, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Job reconciliations and closeout.

  • Assistance with monthly closing documentation and activities.

  • Support for various accounting and payroll functions.

  • Support purchasing functions.

  • Cross-trained in other accounting areas such as payroll time entry, expenses, accounts payable, account receivables or other tasks, as needed.

  • Monitoring of accounts receivable balances and assistance with billing and collections, including communication with customers and billing personnel.

  • Work with Administrators and Managers to collect past due balances.

  • Other responsibilities, as assigned.

    SKILLS:

  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Teams.

  • Proficient in Bluebeam and PDF files.

  • Aptitude to learn new computer skills.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • The ability to work with limited supervision, multi-task assignments and meet deadlines are essential.

  • Being a strong team player and possessing effective communication skills are also critical to the success of the position.

  • Ethical conduct and personal integrity.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals.

  • Works efficiently under tight timeframes, responds to requests in a timely manner and communicates effectively as a team player.

  • Ability to multi‐task in fast paced environment, including prioritizing activities, enhancing efficiencies and being organized.

  • A minimum of a two-year degree in accounting (or similar field).

  • Extensive MS Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Formatting) experience.

  • Have the ability to communicate and work with diverse personalities.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three years of accounting experience with progressive leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with Toolwatch.

  • Experience with Vista/Viewpoint.

  • Knowledge and effective use of construction accounting principles and practices.

  • Knowledge of basic business structure and practices of a construction company.
