Robert Half Help Desk Technician in Des Moines, Iowa

Description We are seeking a Desktop Support Analyst based in DES MOINES, Iowa to join our team. This role involves providing technical assistance, troubleshooting software applications, and maintaining computer and telephone equipment in a timely and professional manner. The successful candidate will also act as a point of contact with software vendors and facilitate technical training for employees.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems and user issues.

• Utilize IT ticketing system to effectively document, prioritize, track and resolve IT requests.

• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, label printers, telephones, etc.

• Act as a point of contact with assigned software vendors in relation to changes, issues or concerns pertaining to applications.

• Develop and facilitate technical training on software applications and equipment for employees.

• Escalate issues to the next appropriate support representative when necessary.

• Research questions and issues using available information resources.

• Maintain data and phone lines and connections.

• Implement software application upgrades.

• Offer exceptional customer service and explain technical issues and topics to non-technical people. Requirements • Possesses at least 1 year of experience as a Desktop Support Analyst or in a relevant role.

• Proficient in MS Windows 10.

• Holds Comptia A+ certification.

• Experienced in using Ticketing System.

• Able to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.

• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users effectively.

• Willingness to continue learning and improving technical skills.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
