Currently, this Tier One automotive components supplier has an exceptional opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our Detroit, MI facility.

Job Description Maintain a safe & productive workplace while leading a team of approximately one to three high volume production and/or supplier departments and approximately fifteen to forty hourly associates. Troubleshoot daily equipment issues by identifying and resolving process, system and/or mechanical failures. Provide clear expectations and hold team members accountable while providing continual feedback. Provide associates with inspiration, direction & coaching to achieve work objectives. Develop team members to become self sufficient with regard to completing their work responsibilities effectively. Lead process improvement activities by coordinating cross functional teams comprised of production, materials, maintenance, quality and engineering. Promote, maintain and develop lean manufacturing practices. Monitor and address output & productivity issues within assigned departments inclusive of meeting production targets, cycle time and product & process quality standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education Possess aat least an associate'sdegree; engineering degree preferred. At least 5 years of related work experience in a CNC machining facility with Siemens/Fanuc controls. Familiarity and understanding of Process Control Plan, PFMEA, CMM's and other standards of process control. Strong leadership skills and ability to lead manage and motivate the production team in the areas of Safety, Quality, delivery, Performance and Continuous Improvement. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with high performance work teams. High level of initiative and assertiveness, along with ownership and accountability. Ability to analyze short and long term objectives and make good decisions. Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic work environment while continually managing resources and striving for excellence. Willingness to work across a three shift operation is required. Willingness to work during the weekend on a periodic basis. Some lean knowledge is helpful.
