About the Role

We are looking for friendly, energetic and hard-working individuals to join our retail team to help us deliver a world-class experience worthy of the Guinness brand on a daily basis within an award-winning flagship retail store. Operating within the Guinness Storehouse, we engage daily with a global audience from every corner of the world in delivering a memorable and customer-focused retail experience that places the visitor front and centre of everything we do across each and every interaction. This creates a very busy and highly-dynamic customer-facing environment. As a Retail Storehouse Assistant, you will be a critical component of the store’s success, responsible for delivering world-class service, continually maintaining store standards and product levels, delivering in-store services, engaging with all statutory and mandatory training modules, and consciously acting as a brand ambassador for Guinness. You will be operating as part of a large team spread across multiple functions, cooperating and collaborating to deliver the best retail experience. You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all our visitors are received in a friendly, courteous and proactive manner and given professional assistance at all times as part of a world-class customer experience.

  • Engaging with all statutory and mandatory training across the onboarding and induction process, as well as all in-store training and support.

  • Embraces the Guinness brand’s distinctive character and culture, ensuring that our distinct brand experiences excite and delight our guests.

  • Ensuring all cash and credit transactions are carried out accurately and efficiently.

  • Assisting with stock replenishment procedures and maintaining exceptional store standards at all times.

  • Engaging with training procedure on the multiple internal functions, in-store services and specialisms within the retail store, including till support, stock and product replenishment, quality, hosting and glass and can personalisation service.

  • Operate daily as part of a large, supportive team and work together to deliver a best-in-class experience.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Leaving Cert or equivalent.

  • Must have experience working face to face with the public in a front-facing, customer service role

  • Experience in hospitality or Tourism service or face to face retailing

The Guinness Storehouse (GSH) is Ireland’s leading visitor attraction, in 2022 it welcomed 1.1million visitors from around the world. Since opening in 2000, the GSH has continually evolved as an attraction with seven floors of immersive and sensorial visitor experience including our flagship retail store, bars, restaurants, the Guinness Archive and meeting/event spaces.   

  

We pride ourselves on our welcome, with the warmth and friendliness the Irish are famous for. We recently opened our second Gravity Bar which offers 360-degree panoramic views of Dublin city and over the past twenty years we have invested over €50m into the physical experience to cement our position as one of the leading attractions in the world.

In addition to the Guinness Storehouse, we also have the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Roe & Co Distillery on the same campus as well as The Smithwicks Experience in Kilkenny. The portfolio is referred to as Irish Brand Homes (IBH).  This role will primarily work on Roe and Co and Smithwicks experiences but will also get involved in broader marketing projects too.
