Emerson Welder in EDE, Netherlands

We have an exciting opportunity to join our organization and play an important role in our production processes! As a Welder, you will be working within our production department. Each day can be a little different depending on the needs that day, so it is a very interesting role. We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our production team. Manual and Semi-automatic welding of process connections to common assembly’s, according to Emerson’s quality requirements. The position is open to start immediately at our location in Ede (the Netherlands).

This is a temporary position, open to join immediately, with a contract up until and including September 30th 2024. The Welding team is working in a 2-shift rotation and an additional 20% shift allowance is provided for this.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Verify common assembly, process connections and heat extender against bill of material

  • Verify availability of material certificates in Oracle business system

  • Process transactions and enter quality data in Oracle business system

  • Adjust manual welding power sources

  • Welding: Tack; Manual; Semi-automatic; Robotic

  • Measure TIR (Total Indication Run-out) and F2F (Face to Face dimension)

  • Grind weld to specifications

  • Visual inspection of finished work

  • Rework of non-conformities

  • Performing hydro static tests

  • Performing helium leak tests

  • Performing H-series polishing and measuring roughness

  • If necessary, help with/during other production processes and support our Manufacturing Engineering team

Who you are:

You are safety conscious; safety is priority number 1. You always work with integrity and pride in your work. You take your responsibilities seriously and deliver good quality of work. You are a great teammate, punctual, reliable and trustworthy. You speak either English or Dutch fluently (fluency in both languages is useful). You need to be able to work each day in a standing position operating welding equipment, so good eyesight is also important.

For this role, you will need:

  • Fluent Dutch language skills; English language skills are beneficial, both languages at a high level of fluency is preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in precision instrument welding is preferred.

  • To be currently living in the Netherlands, with a valid Residence Permit (if required). No relocation is available for this position.

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:

  • Diploma in TIG steel manual welding level II or higher (or recognized equivalent) is required.

  • On the Job Training Manual Welding is provided and must be completed successfully.
