As a Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-12/13, you will:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integrated systems
- Maintain, modify, calibrate, and inspect a wide variety of user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment
- Troubleshoot operational malfunctions and analyze system performance utilizing aircrew debrief data, Technical Orders, schematic and wiring diagrams.
- Recommend methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures
- Apply technical data and equipment specifications to determine the impact that equipment modifications or substitutions will have upon integrated multi-system operations and various maintenance alignment procedures.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:
This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Selectee will have one (1) year to obtain the required AFSC.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS: To obtain the required AFSC, acceptance of this position requires a minimum ASVAB Score of 57 in General area. ASVAB scores will not be required to apply for the position, however applicants must obtain required ASVAB scores prior to acceptance of the position. The applicant must verify their scores with their Military Personnel Flight/Military Personnel Office.
FEDERAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- National Guard Membership is required.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. MILITARY POSITION: 177th Fighter Wing
SECURITY CLEARANCE: This position requires the Selectee to possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.
Exceptional Qualification for step 2-5 will be considered
GENERAL EXPERIENCE Must have the following experiences: * Applying electronic theories and practices * Isolating and repairing malfunctions * Interpreting error data and tracing back through a number of units of the system to locate deficiencies * Applying principles of digital and analog circuits * Using electro-mechanical devices, and solid state devices * Understanding digital techniques, synchro/servo operation and integrated circuit theory * Interpreting and tracing schematics * Applying logic and wiring diagrams * Operating a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have 18 months of the following experiences: * Utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic integrated systems equipment. * Diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic integrated systems equipment. * Making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment. * Using a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). * Interpreting technical manuals, specifications, and publications.
