DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be responsible for conducting automotive mechanic tasks to maintain and repair Department vehicles, equipment, and parts. Your duties will include repairing and replacing suspension components such as ball joints, control arms, idler arms, Pitman arms, and wheel bearings. Additionally, you will perform maintenance and replacement of brake systems, electrical systems, cooling system components, and fuel systems. You will also be involved in major and minor engine repairs, as well as repairing and replacing exhaust systems, transmissions, and differentials.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities. Special Requirements: This position requires employees to hold a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license for operation of specific equipment, in order to meet operational needs. This position requires employees to hold a Class 1 Certified Inspection Mechanic Certificate.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
