Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for an Oracle & UNIX Developer. This team focuses on multiple projects for Oracle and UNIX custom applications. We are looking for someone who wants to work on new development and assist in some support issues as well. This person will work closely with our business groups to help complete exciting Dish projects

Primary Responsibilities fall into the following categories:

• Works hands-on and provides technical knowledge in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of the enterprise information systems

• Analyzes information system requirements, creates designs, and provides documentation by utilizing DISH Network specified tools and methodologies

• Provides information system technology solutions by adhering to DISH Network prescribed life-cycle tools and methodologies

• May provide a variety of services ranging from day-to-day support, maintenance, design, development, and trouble-shooting to improve, advance, or simplify DISH Network business processes

• Understands and deciphers the code in quick time, analyzes business rules with minimal amount of transition, makes recommendations

Skills, Experience and Requirements

A Successful Oracle & UNIX Developer will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; or three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

• At least 5 years’ experience working with Oracle Database, in-depth knowledge of SQL & PL/SQL (packages/procedures/triggers, etc…)

• At least 3-4 years’ of hands on experience in UNIX/Linux shell scripts

• At least 2 years’ of experience in AWS like Dynamo DB, ES2, S3, Lambda, and Elastic Beanstalk

• Develop Oracle PL/SQL, and advanced database programming techniques

• Experience in performance tuning is must

• Develop and maintain complex queries

• Should be strong in developing UNIX shell scripting for various applications

• Experience with PGP encryption & SFTP is a plus

• Experience in high volume data environments is a plus

• Experience with Control-M is a plus

• Experience with delivering projects in agile environment using SCRUM; Experience in Rally is a plus

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Quick learner and understanding existing processes

• Dynamic and proactive, with exceptional technical skills.

• Ability to work independently or in a group/ Working with peers and members of other departments (both business and IT) to successfully complete assigned projects; strong technical aptitude.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
