Fairfield company looking for a Diesel mechanic! Pay is $35.00/hr. - $50.00/hr. *Must be available for Day, Swing, or Graveyard shifts Previous experience is required *Position Overview:Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on company vehicles, tractors and trailers and facility equipment!

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:**

• Approach work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and serving as an example of company core values
• Conduct activities safely, following company safety guidelines and requirements and proactively addresses any unsafe conditions observed.
• Determine nature of needed repairs for company tractors and trailers through accurate troubleshooting.
• Work with the fleet supervisor to properly prioritize work and complete within appropriate timelines.
• Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with proper type of refrigerant by pumping the specified gas or fluid into the system.
• Test lines, components, and connections for leaks.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
• Repair and maintain Mechanical Equipment Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily based on mechanical principles.
• Make safety a top priority - properly manages time and prepares for jobs to work in a safe manner. Asks for help when needed.
• Maintain appropriate dress, hygiene, and personal appearance standards so as to represent the department and the Company in a positive and professional manner.
• Other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Demonstrated organization and accuracy skills; self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects/tasks with competing deadlines.
• Must demonstrate the ability to solve problems, accept constructive feedback and show flexibility should priorities and/or deadlines change.
• Excellent verbal and written skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence.
• Must be able to build productive relationships across all levels of an organization.
