The VP, Employee and Executive Communications plays a key role in sharing that story in the United States with current and future employees. Reporting to the SVP of Communications, the VP, Employee and Executive Communications will be joining a Communications team that s passionate about our mission, collaborative and creative and excited to share the BAE Systems story with the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Direct the strategy and execution of employee communication, focusing on enhancing organizational culture, retention and recruitment of top talent;

  • Understand the strategic direction of BAE Systems, Inc. and coordinate closely across the Inc. business sectors and other functional leaders;

  • Develop and implement effective content and channel strategies for internal communications to ensure consistent and impactful messaging;

  • Drive communications initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with organizational goals and work closely with HR to align communication strategies with business objectives;

  • Provide leadership, guidance and coordination to BAE Systems, Inc. sectors in the execution of communications strategies and tactics, including developing and coordinating internal campaigns across sectors.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and 15 years of relevant work experience in Communications;

  • Proven experience in leadership roles within communications, with a focus on employee engagement;

  • Strong strategic thinking and execution skills in the areas of communication, culture and talent acquisition;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful communication and talent strategies;

  • In-depth understanding of industry best practices for employee engagement and communication;

  • Ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment;

  • Bring a track record of success in developing and executing employee engagement and communication strategies;

  • Analytical thinker with an ability to understand complex issues and business concepts;

  • Outstanding professionalism and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master's Degree preferred, but not required;

  • Leadership role in internal and executive communication function.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $194600 - $330800

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
