Naval Facilities Engineering Command POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR in Finegayan, Guam

Summary You will serve as a POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC LEADER in the OFFICE OF THE OPERATIONS OFFICER of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS. Responsibilities You will serve as a supervisor over a group of Powered Support Systems Mechanics, High Voltage Electricians, and Electrical Power Controllers engaged in providing electric power support to communications facilities. You will plan the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week basis or month-to-month basis. You will inform higher level supervisors of the need to revise work schedules and re-estimate labor and other resources. You will assign work to Work Leaders and provide technical direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes. You will inspect completed work for quality and work order requirements. You will advise employees in advance of performance expectations and explain new work techniques, as required. You will ensure employees with access to classified information comply with security directives. Must live or work within the commuting area of the duty location(s) listed for this position. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to lead or supervise Powered Support Systems Mechanics engaged in the inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance of mechanical/electrical equipment, and provide technical and administrative supervision. Education Additional Information Eligible FWS employees recruited from outside of the insular area may be eligible for a Pay Differential of 20% of their basic pay. Percentages of differentials are subject to change without notice. NOTE: The Pay Differential for FWS employees is not available to be paid at this time due to a lack in system functionality. A remedy is being worked at this time. If entitled to this Pay Differential, employees will receive appropriate back pay.
