Journeyman Pipefitter and Pipe Welder

Salary \$25.00 \$35.00 per hour DOE

Per Diem is based on distance from home to the work site one way. All work is in Aroostook County

Summary

Looking for qualified People who want a permanent position and are willing to relocate to Northern Maine. You will be working in diverse setting including food processing, paper mill, lumber/Veneer mills, osb/wafer board plants and starcher factories.

We also do heavy commercial piping in schools and hospitals.

Our work is mostly in Northern Maine it is extremely rare to be asked to work a night shift although we cant rule that out 100%. While piping is the primary reason for employment, we occasionally ask that our employees be flexible with work assignments to keep our people working. To service our customers, we will also do fabrication, structural and equipment installation in addition to piping. We work mostly stainless-steel piping but also do carbon steel piping. We are an R stamp holder so we do minor boiler repairs and high-pressure piping as well.

Job Requirements

Read and follow blueprints and hand sketches.

Follow Instructions

Install piping within plumb, level and square requirements.

Able to figure pipe runs including rolling offsets

Knowledge with Sanitary piping is a plus.

Basic rigging skills

Basic hand tools and reference books.

Pipefitters will be required to pass a hand written test.

Welders must pass an open root 6G pipe test in Carbon and Stainless steel.

Qualifications also include a valid drivers license and transportation.

Experience with high pressure steam and condensate along with process piping.

Must pass a pre-employment physical.

Working safely is a must.

Work Schedule

4/10-hour days when possible.

Depending on the job you may be required to work 12 hr days, OT, Weekends, & Holidays
