Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 3:00pm-11:30pm (Fridays and Saturdays OFF)

Job Responsibilties:

  • Perform mechanical duties such as pumps, valves, conveyor work, sprockets, gearboxes, etc.

  • Calibrate all plant instrumentation in a wide variety of makes and types of specifications (i.e. temperature, flow, pH, vacuum, pressure, level load cells, Foxboro, Honeywell, E&H, etc.).

  • Work with industrial electricity (motor controls) to troubleshoot and repair electrical components and machinery including 24vdc, 110vac, 220vac, 277vac and 480vac systems.

  • Complete Preventative/Predictive maintenance work orders.

  • Able to re-build equipment to manufacturers specifications

  • Always perform work in a safe manner adhering to food safety guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in the maintenance field; Strong Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude

  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and Holidays

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures

  • Must be team orientated, self-motivated and communicate effectively, oral and written

  • Able to perform essential job functions of the position

  • Able to handle varying work conditions from extremely hot/humid to cold

Preferred Qualifications:

Two (2) or more years prior experience in the Dairy Industry as a maintenance technician with a

strong mechanical and electrical background along with three (3) months on-the-job experience is

necessary to become proficient in the maintenance of pneumatics, hydraulics, AC frequency drives,

electrical controls, instrumentation, schematic reading, welding, mechanical (sprockets & gearboxes),

T/S technique and PLC knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Competencies:

  • Communicate effectively with production department operators, production supervisors, outside contractors and plant maintenance personnel

  • Exercise considerable judgement and problem- solving skills

  • Incumbents performance is measured by response to repair time ratios

  • Successful performance of preventive maintenance programs

  • Timely communication of situations requiring special attention to management
