KIK Consumer Products Production Operator in Freehold, New Jersey

Your Role at KIK

Our Freehold, NJ Plant is looking for a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Production Operator to be part of our growing team. People that take the initiative and action to pursue production line goals and complete tasks. People that are thorough and accurate in accomplishing tasks. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Properly load correct cardboard for cartons and dividers into former machine

  • Monitor forming process and dispose of any incorrectly formed cartons following disposal/recycling guidelines

  • Bail scrap cardboard during and at the end of the scheduled shift

  • Safe operation of bailer equipment

  • Remove banding from cardboard stacks and dispose of strapping using appropriate methods of disposal

  • Monitor and comply with all changeover requirements to eliminate carton waste

  • Perform quality checks including entering data into computer software proficiently

  • Maintain clean, safe, and efficient workstations – dispose of trash in correct disposal methods (cardboard recycling, area cleanliness including used rag recycling). Area must be maintained throughout shift and final cleanup at end of scheduled shift

  • Ability to start equipment and identify basic mechanical issues

  • Support all changeover requirements of commodity product

  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of high school degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience

  • Ability to stand and walk for periods of time

  • Able to work scheduled overtime or shift changes when required

  • Able to lift to 50 pounds periodically throughout the manufacturing shift and meet physical requirements of position including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, reaching with both hands/arms, ability to visually inspect product

  • Basic math skills

  • Excellent communication skill set (verbal, written, etc.)

  • Mechanically inclined to perform minor machine corrections within job responsibilities preferred
