• The BMET Supervisor will oversee the daily operations and coordination of all aspects of customer service. Reports department performance and issues to the Manager on a weekly basis or as necessary. The BMET Supervisor will be a working team member assisting with repairs and pms.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Possesses knowledge and skills related to medical equipment systems and devices.

• Possesses knowledge of medical PCs, peripherals, medical network hardware and clinical network applications.

• Review patient care equipment incident reports and recommend corrective action to Manager.

• Assure the completion of preventive maintenance inspections to meet regulatory standards.

• Significant working knowledge of physiology, anatomy and medical terminology with emphasis in clinical application and troubleshooting.

• Possesses the ability to follow manufacturer's procedures for preventive maintenance inspection, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on medical equipment; including but not limited to all non-nigh risk and high risk medical equipment.

• Work with, direct, and document the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery and vendor documentation.

• Assists Manager with the implementation of Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) , The Joint Commission, NFPA and other regulatory agencies' standards.

• Assists Manager with maintaining documentation, policies & procedures, and that staff assessment tools are current an updated.

• Assures service completed and documentation submitted is accurate, complete, and timely. Can review all BMET technician documentation for the same.

• Can successfully resolve complex customer service issues, complaints, and escalated issues from all BMET technicians.

• Performs and coordinates special assignments to accommodate medical equipment installations and department inspections without interrupting clinical operations.

• Interacts with customers in a timely manner.

• Coordinates available resources to support customer requests.

• Possesses knowledge of clinical equipment systems.

• Possesses knowledge of project management terms and methods.

Experience: Minimum 7 years experience in the field preferred with 3 years of supervisory experience.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Science or Technology (BMET/EET). Associate’s degree or military trained (BMET) Biomedical Equipment Technician with extensive, demonstrable, and documented experience in the field will be considered.
