Lockheed Martin Supply Chain / Subcontract Management Sr / Santa Barbara, CA in Goleta, California

Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Subcontract Manager for a position in Santa Barbara, CA. This position will be responsible for managing subcontract efforts with several major suppliers to support both development programs. Day to day activities includes working with established Supplier Management Teams (SMTs) to ensure all applicable subcontract efforts are placed and managed to support program cost, schedule and performance requirements. This position will support all programs across the site for specific commodities which will require strategizing efforts between multiple program requirements and effectively communicating these requirements to suppliers.

Duties include:

•Work with program management teams to generate and manage subcontract efforts for major components procured from assigned suppliers on program.

•Perform price analysis, use of cost evaluations for development of pre-negotiation strategies.

•Lead negotiations and completion of subcontract / Purchase Order (PO) documentation, invoice reconciliation and payment.

•Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.

•Hold procurement delegation and sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.

•Lead a team made up of various functions to develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of innovation and follow through.

•Work with program management and other areas of the business for timely status and conclusion of subcontract matters and resolution of issues

Basic Qualifications:

•Supply Chain / Subcontracts experience

•Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures associated knowledge of FAR / DFAR requirements

•Demonstrated problem solving skills

•Team oriented with demonstrated organizational skills

•Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters which often requires coordination between functional organizations

Desired Skills:

•Demonstrated negotiation skills

•Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)

•Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team

•Experience working developmental US DoD contracts

•Cross-functional knowledge of Supplier Quality and Engineering as they relate to subcontract management

•Leadership skills displaying attributes of Full Spectrum Leadership including (1) Deliver Results, (2) Shape the Future, (3) Build Effective Relationships, (4) Energize the Team and (5) Model Personal Excellence, Integrity and Accountability

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $74,700 - $143,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $85,900 - $161,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
