Job Description

The Technical Associate ensures all equipment in facility is processed and placed in its required location which includes recycling, testing, data erasure, cleaning & prepping and packing & shipping of electronic equipment.

This position:

• Uses electronic scanning equipment to log equipment into inventory system.

• Tests and audits the inventory/product received from the clients

• Processes, sorts, and deconstructs equipment, which includes the manual disassembly of electronic equipment and putting those components in a specified container.

• Operates a pallet jack including building and maneuvering equipment on pallets.

• Maintains the physical security protocols we have in place

• Maintains the operating condition of work station tools and machinery used to execute primary functions.

• Assists the activities of the warehouse staff to ensure a positive and efficient work experience.

• Maintains the cleanliness and overall appearance of work stations.

• Attends and participates in monthly operations meetings.

Our office in Grand Rapids has moved to a new building and location at 1601 Madison, Grand Rapids, MI 49507 in October of 2022. This position will work in our STAD (Secured Technology Asset Disposition Center).

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

• High attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

• Ability to work well with a team.

• Related experience or interest in technology, asset disposition or sustainability is a plus.

Physical Aspects

• Occasional sitting, focusing on and operating a computer several times a day.

• Daily lifting up to 25 lbs. up to 5 minutes at a time.

• Constant or regular standing, walking, stooping.

• Warehouse environment, some exposure to heat and cold (but not equivalent to outside temperatures); dust, pollen, fumes (as in normal outside environment); noise.
