Sign-on Bonus Available: Unlicensed Clinicians: $5,000.00 Licensed Clinicians: $7,000.00

Position Summary: This is a unique clinical role that provides Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) consultative support as well as clinical interventions. The ECMH consultant works collaboratively with Early Childhood Education staff, programs, and families to improve their ability to prevent, identify, treat, and reduce the impact of mental health problems among children from birth through six years of age. Ultimately, Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation seeks to achieve positive outcomes for infants and young children in early childhood settings by using an indirect approach to fostering their social and emotional well-being. The ECMH consultation team works primarily in the community, childcare centers, and home settings supporting the adult caregivers of young children. The ECMH consultant will spend 80% of their time on consultative duties and 20% of their time on clinical caseload serving

Duties Performed: Provide person-centered assessment, goal planning, and treatment for mental health and/or substance use issues. Provide screening, intakes, and assessment of clients utilizing required instruments and formats within appropriate timelines. Knowledge of very young children's social and emotional development and a general understanding of the overall development of young children. Ability to provide psychoeducation and consultation to adult caregivers and families on how to create a home environment that supports healthy social and emotional development.
