Job Purpose:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical, air-cooled and small engine equipment of the Companys rental fleet.

Duties:

• Inspect equipment to determine service and repair needs; review all work orders with Service Manager
• Perform complete repair and overhaul functions, including routine maintenance services for small tools (electric and gas), Honda, Stihl, and Briggs
• Test and operate equipment post-repair to verify proper function and ensure equipment does not return Problem Not Fixed
• Execute daily equipment maintenance according to safety inspection checklists and manufacturers documents
• Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear/repair as necessary
• Document service records
• Complete preventative maintenance, oil changes, and lubricate equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and attend all store/department safety meetings
• Perform other duties as requested

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Must have knowledge of gas and electrical equipment
• Must have knowledge of electrical and small engine operation
• Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel, ignition and electrical systems
• Basic welding skills a plus
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read and write English

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, twist, and maneuver will a full range of motion
• Must be able to lift and transport objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to withstand general warehouse/shop conditions which may be non-heated/cooled
