Fedcap Service Provider Manager in Hamilton, Ontario

Position Summary:

To manage and improve the effectiveness of our delivery through Service Providers within a defined catchment area, ensuring we develop strong relationships so that Service Providers deliver financial objectives, quality, and customer service targets to an agreed standard. You will support Service Providers by building capacity, being their key point of contact, understanding the local community, supporting success and being a trusted partner.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the supply and delivery of services through service delivery partners to ensure a high performing and improving provision of services in the catchment area according to contract requirements and to ensure a positive jobseeker experience and a tangible return on our expenditure.

  • Be the knowledge and in-house expert on the contract so that Service Providers can use this to enhance and build on their own experience to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with service providers on a sub-regional level, ensuring our provider processes/procedures are in place and reviewed regularly to satisfy contractual obligations, quality requirements (including internal quality systems and those of the commissioning Authority), financial controls and customer delivery standards (including continuous improvement).

  • Review performance and engage in ongoing service delivery support to drive performance improvement.

  • Monitor changes in the local employment market, drawing on intelligence from the business to create plans that meet changing local circumstances and effectively deliver our services.

  • Work to maintain an open dialogue with all Service Providers to prevent contractual or relationship conflicts from arising.

  • Analyze and comprehend challenges and gaps in service delivery related to maintaining sustainable employment. Identify, plan, and execute local projects in response to community need.

  • Understand underserved/underutilized populations and develop strategies to increase participation/ services and employment outcomes.

  • Manage the new Service Provider onboarding process including all due diligence activity to ensure new provider compliance with legislation and funders contractual requirements.

Areas of Specialization

  • As part of the Service Delivery Team, the incumbent may be asked to focus on a particular community, priority population group, or strategic priority based on emerging community and/or labour market needs.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.

  • Procurementand/or program management experience – minimum 5 years.

  • Experience of partnership/contract management.

  • Experience providing services in federal or provincial funded programs.

  • Experience of management and development of a successful Provider network or similar/ supply chain network.

  • Understanding diverse populations and systemic barriers to success.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role has no direct reports.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The incumbent is frequently expected to work onsite at provider locations in the assigned territory in a hybrid model.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. but will be determined by your supervisor. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
