About The OpportunityJob Description Summary The Senior Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automated machinery and computer-controlled mechanical systems. Job Description Key Duties And Responsibilities Comply with safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards Test and debug electrical components, PLC, and electronic circuits used for the control of machinery and equipment, as well as to design small electrical circuits. Design, install and/or troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical components such as motors, VFD\'s, motion systems, and electrical connection parts such as relays, termination blocks and sensors. Maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, including disconnecting devices, conduits, wiring, overload protection devices, power transmissions, chains, hydraulic/pneumatic/steam systems, vacuum pumps, electrical and mechanical motors. Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment Perform projects using PC & PLC programming. Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for technical assistance Use schematics or drawings, install electrical and electronic controls on machinery and equipment Layout, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust wire, panels, breakers, conduit, and other electrical fixtures, apparatus, and new services. Maintain documentation and communicate updated documentation to manager and staff Work from sketches or verbal instructions; interpret blueprints. Create and complete essential maintenance work orders and other required paperwork. Keep manager up to date on the status of all assigned projects, programming, work back log, on-going problems, and safety issues.
