Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Duties: •Prepare and review MEP drawings; perform thermal load calculations using Autodesk Revit MEP, and analyze HVAC components like ducts etc. using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis to optimize air distribution systems.•Perform inspections of HVAC, fire alarm, fire protection, boilers, and mechanical components (fans, air handling units etc.) to ensure compliance with technical drawings and with International Mechanical Code (IMC) & International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC).•Perform tensile pull-tests on post-installed anchors installed in concrete to determine structural performance of anchoring systems as per ASTM standards.•Perform destructive and non-destructive testing of different materials to ascertain mechanical properties.•Responsible for Quality Assurance/Quality Control of Smoke Control Inspections as part of Fire Sprinkler Mechanical Systems and of Rebar Inspections.•Responsible for collecting and analyzing raw test data using advanced Excel, Python and SQL.•Review and optimize operational procedure; maintenance and servicing of mechanical equipment used for destructive/non-destructive tests.•Design and analyze mechanical components using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools for the possibility of retrofitting existing mechanical equipment.•Participate and assist senior engineers in the preparation of proposals, bid submission, preparation of invoices and overall project management of engineering and construction projects involving mechanical systems. •Prepare and review project baseline schedules in conformance to specifications, contract drawings and stakeholder inputs, using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project and develop Gantt Charts.•Attend project meetings with clients to discuss project status and update on progress, critical path activities, actual cost, delays and recovery measures.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 6 months of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, Staff Engineer, Field Engineer, Intern, or a related occupation required.Employer accepts full-time or equivalent part-time experience (including academic research and teaching experience) gained during or after undergraduate studies.Required Skills: •Demonstrated knowledge of CAD/CAE concepts;•Ability to draft MEP drawings;•AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks and Fusion 360;•Using tension/compression test equipment;•Use one of the following programming languages: MATLAB, Python or JavaScript;•Data analysis using advanced Excel tools pivot tables and macros; and•Use one of the following project management tools: Microsoft Project, Google Suite or OneDrive.Additional Information:Employer’s name: JPC Logistics LLC, dba JPCL Engineering LLCJob site: 2 Clerico Lane, Hillsborough, NJ 08844Salary Range: $70,096.00 per year to $110,000.00 per yearIf you are interested in applying for this position, please mail resume with Job# 03-2023 to HR at JPC Logistics LLC, dba JPCL Engineering LLC, 2 Clerico Lane, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.
