Snellingis seeking talentedAssemblers (Diesel Mechanics)to join a diverse team to support production and manufacturing in theTrussvillearea. TheAssemblercandidate will be responsible for the installation of various parts and/or components onto construction and/or agricultural equipment for custom applications such as dozers used in fighting forest fires, excavators for military applications, loaders for landfill or waste transfer stations, and agricultural tractors outfitted for right-of-way mowing or power line maintenance. This is apermanentpositionwith a pay rate for this position$21.00-26.00/hr, doe.

Key responsibilities for Assembler:

• Installation of manufactured kits onto new equipment.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures to ensure quality of installation.
• Ability to follow manufacturer procedures for torquing bolts, hydraulic hoses, and fittings.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

Basic Qualifications Required for Assembler:

• Candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year experience in a related field.
• Candidate must be able to read and interpret written and oral work instructions.
• Candidate must be able to work independently using basic hand tools and air tools.
• Candidate must be agile with the ability to work in awkward positions such as under machines, in tight areas of machines, on top of large machines, or while standing on ladders or work platforms.
• Candidate must have a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems found in heavy equipment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Other Qualifications:

• Candidate must be able to provide the necessary tools to perform the job duties.
• Candidate should be able to demonstrate ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
