DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, your responsibilities will involve performing skilled maintenance and repair tasks on a diverse range of vehicles, construction equipment, and hand tools. This will include tasks such as oil changes, diagnostics, tune-ups, tire changes, and more. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting official state safety and emissions inspections on assigned vehicles, ensuring that all repairs are carried out in compliance with specifications and necessary adjustments are made for safe operation. Maintenance of diesel equipment will involve tasks such as oil changes, filter servicing, and part replacements. You will also be responsible for repairing electrical, cooling, suspension, and driveline systems as required. Furthermore, you will be expected to carry out minor repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment, while also providing demonstrations of repair techniques to other employees. Lastly, you will provide assistance to other Diesel Mechanics for major repairs, maintain equipment records, offer emergency road service when needed, and occasionally perform maintenance and repairs outside of the garage.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Schedule is subject to change due to weather/season; winter shifts, 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities. Special Requirements: This position requires employees to hold a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license for operation of specific equipment, in order to meet operational needs. This position requires employees to hold a Class 1 Certified Inspection Mechanic Certificate.

Conditions of Employment: Possession of a CFC-12 Refrigerant Recycling Certificate and a 134A Refrigerant Recycling Certificate (can obtain after start date) Must supply own tool box and basic tools. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
