Aerotek is currently seeking qualified mechanical assemblers with experience on process skid, compressor skids, or pump packages.

Description:

• Large steel fabricator of individual process skids has a immediate openings for mechanical assemblers.

• Assembling natural gas compressor packages by measuring, cutting, bolting and threading pipe; also setting vessels to the compressors and structural skid components.

• Using industrial tools like a wrench, saw, grinder, pipe threader, measuring tape, and pencil grinder. Reading isometric drawings/blueprints, measuring pipe, prepping, rigging, modifying, and bolting up pipe spools.

• Will be operating overhead crane, industrial grinder, and pipe cutter.

• Moving on to the next skid and repeating the assembly/bolt up process on next skid unit.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years assembling on skid units

• Fabrication exp from oil & gas shop

• Can read blueprints, isometric drawings (ISOs), piping and instrumentation diagram/drawing (P&ID's), or schematics (pipe/fabrication)

• Used industrial tools: torque wrench, standard wrenches, saws, grinders, torch, pipe cutter/saws all

• Bolt up, assembling, torqueing bolts on pipe spools/fabricated pipe/screw pipe
