ShipTech is the connective tissue, which connects Transportation Service Providers, First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile to facilitate the shipping of billions of packages each year. Due to criticality of the ShipTech systems, world-wide (WW) Amazon business organizations work with ShipTech every year to deliver their programs for network expansion, operational efficiency improvement, new feature delivery to enhance customer/operator experience, compliance asks, etc.

We are looking for a Program Manager who will be be responsible for the delivery of complex programs (either ShipTech internal or external). PM will work with multiple clients/teams to assess requirements, come up with a project plan, manage risks to the plan, report status updates to Sr leadership and seek help in case of any risks. You will prepare detailed program plans including risk, milestones, quality and business sign-off details. You will also own program delivery along with Tech leadership. This role gives an opportunity to work closely with the end users, tech teams, business teams, senior leaders to define the architecture requirements and their strategy. This role gives an opportunity to work closely with Client teams, Other stakeholders, Tech teams and Senior Leaders to manage and deliver for Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

1. Drive improvement in worldwide shipment infrastructure by defining the usage, configuration, and standardization of transportation milestones.

2. Drive initiatives to improvement the migration of existing users to the newer platform.

3. Conducting evaluation of existing workflows and drive initiatives to improve on them.

4. Identify and execute data driven workstreams to identify gaps in migration and define future state along with roadmap.

5. Execute our program and project initiatives, while providing great internal customer support and driving consistency, help us continue to support our initiatives, and identify process improvement opportunities

6. Communicate project statuses and updates across a global audience. Experience with Program Management in a broad, global organization

7. Manage competing priorities and drive alignment with leadership from different teams to implement the optimal solves for worldwide network.

8. Develop team goals and metrics that allow for accurate measurement and traction towards solving a business problem, achieve buy-in from stakeholders and actively report progress on the goals.

A day in the life

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple stakeholders at once, able to work independently, and maintain professionalism under pressure. This role will need to have knowledge in analytical skills and in excel. The Program Manager will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, and have good problem-solving abilities. This position will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

About the team

We are a team of program managers who work across 20+ platform tech teams. Our stakeholders are transportation teams across regions. We contribute to several large-scale high-visibility programs each year such as new feature build outs to provide enhanced customer experience or better operational efficiencies by migrating to newer platform. We are looking for a Program Manager to work with global business customers and our engineering teams to migrate teams to newer platform.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience

• 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

• Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

• Experience in program or project management

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

• 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

• Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
